Update time again. They come around so quickly, don’t they? This week in The Silent Choir we have two new additions to the ranks, Carole Chapman and Hope Hunter. As usual, try and treat them gently. They’d do the same if it was you.

“She’s not religious at all, but it got to her.”

Because I love his films, even if sometimes it seems that no-one else does, I’d like to direct you to have a look at the promotional trailer for Peter Greenaway’s new film, Nightwatching. This is what the site says:
Nightwatching is based around the painting of Rembrandt’s most famous picture Nightwatch. With the 400th anniversary of Rembrandt’s birth in 2006, Nightwatching is truly a feast for the senses. Extravagant, suspenseful and sensuously beautiful, the mystery behind the extraordinary artist’s infamous painting is perfectly explored by one of the most iconic directors of our time.
I, for one, am looking forward to it.
For those few deluded folks amongst you who do indeed care about what I think, you can find reviews of the two newest Accent UK books (The Wolfmen and Zombies) over at TRS2, where I occasionally contribute bits and pieces. You can search back through the archive to find out what I’ve said in the past, or nip on over to the words section on my main website to see the full list. Anyway – new reviews, go and have a look.

Well, here’s a nice thing – the Inkstuds radio show, which I’ve linked to a few times in the past, has a long interview now up with Eddie Campbell, who’s on the promo trail for The Black Diamond Detective Agency. Go and have a wee listen, while you have the chance.
Hello folks. It’s Silent Choir time once more, so run and tell all of your friends…. This week we say hello to Margaret Goodchild and Shania Smith. As usual there’s a world of stories hidden under the stories that they are happy to tell about themselves – so do take the time to look.
Well, it’s that time of the week again, when all the players in The Silent Choir come out to play. If you take a look at the table of contents, you’ll be able to see just how far through we are; we’ll see mysteries begin to reveal themselves as the final third of the choir step forward. So, here’s two more to add to the list: Robert Collins and Amelia Philpott. I hope you’ll like them.
With the imminent release of Yesterday’s Tomorrows, Rian Hughes seems to be doing the interview rounds these days – there’s a new one up at Newsarama today, which is quite neat.
One section which caught my eye was this:
NRAMA: Do you hope to create more comics stories somewhere down the line?
RH: Yes, definitely, soon. Something that expresses what I’ve just been discussing somehow, hopefully without seeming gimmicky. Stay tuned…!
Might this be the rumoured Morrison-scripted return to comics that we’ve all been hoping to see? I seem to remember that at one point the title The Man from UNCOOL was floating around… Anyway, I’m staying tuned.
Again, here’s a practice picture for a forthcoming story… see if you can guess what it’s about!

Yup, even after a week of hideous illness, I have managed to drag myself from near death to produce two pages of The Silent Choir, as you always demand… This week, welcome Catherine Evans and Tabitha Hoffman to the gang… As usual, do try and make them feel welcome, as things can seem, well, unusual to our newest additions.
